A brief from the Associated Press is claiming that 110 students are on lockdown inside of Alumnae Hall, due to the uncovering of an 'orange powder' inside the building.
Adelphi's spokesperson, Kali Chan, is claiming that those who are being held inside of Alumnae Hall (just as a precaution) are proceeding with their classes.
"I'm not outside right now, but the last time I was a fire truck was pumping out a fire hydrant, and there were police officers and ambulances everywhere," said Victoria Walsh, current student and resident at Adelphi University. "There was police tape around the perimeter of the hall and some of the parking lot."
Stay here with PAWS to find out any updates on the lockdown situation and investigation on campus.
